The project ISTANBUL on LINE is a big study about a 26 km long path (Line)
straight across Istanbul. It shows, how a city can be observed by „line-walking“.
In spring 2007 an interdisciplinary group of students walked in 3 days on one
single Line from West to East, to face the big metropolitan area and public
space of Istanbul in an experimental way. The continuous walk is an intensive
urban adventure, which produced a new imagination beyond the official image
about Istanbul.
